Leona was on cloud nine during her wedding. Of course, most brides are—but Leona was literally (I don't like that word, my kids usually use it when they lie to me but it fits well in that sentence.) at the top of the Sheraton, surrounded by the Kansas City skyline, and glowing with pure joy as she married Michael. Her happiness was impossible to miss—and even harder not to photograph! They had this very glamorous wedding that was focused on showcasing the passionate and romantic love they have for each other.
Leona is also one of my wife’s colleagues, and she gave us the opportunity to be together at a wedding at the same time for the first time. I must admit, I really enjoyed working with a teammate who knows you so well. (Beth, if you’re reading this, just know that you are so much more than a teammate—bare with me.) Even though it was our first wedding as husband and wife, it felt like we’d been doing that for years! I’ve worked many, many times as a second or with seconds, but this time was different, unique, natural… Maybe we didn’t know it yet, but it was the start of a new adventure in this photography experience! I sure hope so! (I love you, babe.)
I know I talk too much—let’s see some photos!!
