About ATN: Your Kansas City Wedding Photographer

ATN, what is
your STORY?

This is the farm where I grew up in south of France. It was bought by my great grand-parents in 1911.

Before moving to the USA in 2011, I spent my junior year of High School as an exchange student in Florida. I came with this trick for my friends to say my name and it stayed with me ever since... My name is Etienne, and the way to pronounce it is ATN.

I grew up on a vineyard in south of France, 5 miles from the water Perrier source, 15 miles from the Mediterranean sea, and 20 miles from the old Roman city of Nimes. I lived in France in various places, including Dijon, (yes, where the mustard is made), Troyes (where Champagne comes from), or Metz (that has a beautiful Christmas market) before I moved to the USA. Then, I lived in Connecticut where I worked as an engineer designing bicycles for Cannondale and GT. Eventually, Specialized (another bicycle company) gave me an offer I couldn't refuse, and I moved to Morgan Hill, California near the Silicon Valley.

Why ATN?

Where are you from?

What about your Kansas city experience?

I moved to Kansas City in 2019. A few month later, the KC Chiefs won the first Superbowl of the Mahomes/Kelce era. That's when I decided it was time for me to become a football fan. When I was in California, the golden State Warriors were rocking it, so I was a basketball fan! And I am a soccer fan once every 4 years when France plays well. No matter the sport, I am usually only watching a handful of games, so I would not say I am a hardcore fan but we're getting off subject!

Family?

I am the oldest of 5. I am the only one that moved to the USA. I love going back to France and enjoying some long family meals and playing some board games with my brothers and sister.
I am happily remarried and living in Kansas City. I am now a father of 5!

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO

I used to paint when I was a kid, but photography gives the instant gratification of making a beautiful image.  Now, many years later, I still have this quest for catching the moment, and making a perfect picture instantaneously. I specialized in wedding photography because I love to share and experience joyful moments with people. I like to have a good time with you and your guests, laugh, smile, have an interesting discussion, sometimes be silly, or dance.  In summary, I love to be a part and an actor in the fun of your wedding day!
When we are all back to our lives, I am energized by the idea of making people relive good memories with my photos.
It is kind of simple, I want to make people happy and mindful of the wonderful moments and beautiful things that surround us.
